To develop proof points of businesses transitioning to employee ownership to convince the federal government to extend or make permanent the $10 million capital gains tax exemption incentive for businesses who choose ownership succession through employee ownership trusts (EOTs). The project will also build awareness and create educational materials about EOTs, ultimately broadening business ownership, create better and more resilient local jobs, and support community wealth-building, especially for BIPOC workers.
