Welcoming Math’ieya Alatini to the Definity Foundation Board of Directors

We are honoured to welcome Math’ieya (Ma-THEE-Yah) Alatini to the Definity Foundation Board of Directors.

Currently serving as Grand Chief of the Council of Yukon First Nations, Math’ieya is a proud Southern Tutchone matriarch from Kluane First Nation and a fearless advocate for Indigenous sovereignty, innovation, and community-led change. Her leadership spans government, industry, and Indigenous governance—rooted in decades of experience and a commitment to doing the work “in a good way,” with courage, clarity, and integrity.

From leading Kluane First Nation toward energy independence, to advancing public health across Yukon First Nations as CEO of One Yukon Coalition, Math’ieya brings a sharp systems lens and deep community knowledge. Her insights will strengthen the Foundation’s work at the intersection of climate, health, and socio-economic justice, and reinforce our commitment to values-driven, trust-based philanthropy.

Please join us in welcoming Math’ieya to the Definity Foundation.
